Biographies
Wendy Lockyear
Wendy’s near–five-decade career reflects a lifelong dedication to music, beginning with early studies in violin, cello and choral performance that earned her national recognition and high-profile appearances.
She went on to work as a recording and session artist in New Zealand, perform on stage and television, and develop a versatile repertoire spanning multiple genres and eras. Her journey has included international tours, award-winning original songwriting, and performances from jazz lounges to major festivals, all underscored by a soulful, dynamic vocal style.
Today, Wendy continues to write, produce and record her own music, with new releases planned for early 2026.
Bluez Fever Trio
The Bluez Fever Jazz Trio, based in Southeast Queensland, unites three internationally experienced musicians—vocalist Wendy Lockyear, drummer Ferenc Duga and keyboardist Martin Griggs—whose diverse global backgrounds shape their dynamic sound.
Together they deliver a passionate, contemporary blend of jazz, blues and soul, enhanced by fresh original compositions that consistently captivate audiences.
Bluez Fever Band
Bluez Fever is a dynamic blues band uniting Wendy with three seasoned musicians—guitarist Graham Mittelheuser, keyboardist Martin Grigg, and drummer Ferenc Duga—each bringing decades of experience and a deep-rooted passion for the genre. Together, they blend soulful emotion, expressive musicianship, and powerful rhythms into a raw, electrifying sound that celebrates the true spirit of the blues.
