Biographies

Wendy Lockyear

A professional national and international career spanning five decades. Live performance on TV NZ, recording artist for documentary films and other studio sessions, singing with the light opera company, winning an award at a country blues music festival and recently performing in London in the UK.

Her musical journey continues representing artists and her own original songs, solo and with her band Bluez Fever, delivering live shows, sharing a love for authentic blues, country and soul.

What makes Wendy Tick? Feeling passionate about every new exciting performance, connecting with the audience.

The Bluez Fever Jazz Trio, based in Southeast Queensland, unites all members of the Bluez Fever Band, who are all internationally experienced musicians and whose diverse glabal backgrounds, shape their dynamic sound, together

Together they deliver a passionate, contemporary blend of jazz, blues and soul, enhanced by fresh original compositions that consistently captivate audiences.

Bluez Fever is a dynamic blues band uniting Wendy with three seasoned musicians—guitarist Graham Mittelheuser, keyboardist Martin Grigg, and drummer Ferenc Duga—each bringing decades of experience and a deep-rooted passion for the genre. Together, they blend soulful emotion, expressive musicianship, and powerful rhythms into a raw, electrifying sound that celebrates the true spirit of the blues.
